PMT Tyres is an Italian manufacturer of tyres developed for competition. Its history started in the ‘80s when Alessandro Pauselli starts participating in remote controlled cards, becoming victorious in the regional Junior championship in Lazio. They started producing tyres with the clear objective of taking it one step further in the competition world, which led to the creation of PMT.
Throughout the years PMT started working with motorcycles, developing tyres in 6.5” for minibikes, 10/12” for scooters, pitbikes and mini GP and 17” for speed bikes.
In their catalogue we can find models that are very popular in competition:
BLACKFIRE - semi-slick tyre available in 3 different compounds. Hard, with slower wear, ideal for endurance races and tracks with a very high temperature. Medium - is the preferred compound for Scooter racing with an ideal balance between grip and durability. Soft, grip above all, a soft compound to achieve victory.
SLICK - focused on competitions where the regulations allow the use of tires without drawings. Available in 3 compounds - hard, medium and soft - just like blackfire but with a plus on grip.
RAIN - the tire par excellence for racing with rain. An optimum mix of the compound, together with an improved tread, make this tire one of the best to compete with a wet track or heavy rain.
