What is variable feed? And what is achieved by being variable?

When the engine is at a few revolutions, it is ideal that the degree of ignition advance will be greater, that is, the spark jump is more advanced than when the engine is fully revolved. The spark jump should occur closer to the PMS (top dead centre) to extract maximum power from the engine and have a more usable curve.

CDI wiring

• Orange: High coil
• Red/Black: Stator with red/black
• White/Black: Stop switch
• Black: Frame mass

Stator wiring

• Green/Yellow: Frame mass
• Red/Black: CDI with red/black
• Yellow: Lights
• White: Battery charge/regulator

Brown cable: Must receive bridge positive with original CDI or directly from a 12v battery.

Instructions

The functioning of a competition rotor comes from a smaller diameter and lighter body, generation less inertia while the engine is working, flowing better through the changes of revolutions. 

The change of the original ignition system implies a change of the CDI, therefore this change of the brain of the system might generate better ignition curves, with a better adaptation to use in competitions. 

To get the best performance with this type of ignitions, you will need to make new modifications to the engine, exhaust, cylinder, etc.
