About FMF

In 1973 with 22 years, Don Emler begun to manufacture from his own garage the innovative systems of exhaust pipes that we know today, oficially founding FMF (Flying Machine Factory). He trained and competed in motocross together with his friends and worked for different riders preparing their motorbikes and making them faster. Seeing and knowing the needs of the pilots to go faster, he decided to stop racing and dedicated himself to looking for the extra step for improvement in both engines and exhausts.

He began to attract several emerging riders of the time, sponsoring a motocross rider named Marty Smith. The following year, Smith won the AMA 125cc National Championship under the sponsorship of the manufacturer FMF and American Honda.

In 1985, FMF unveiled its first Nickel plated exhausts for off-road motorcycles. A few years later, in 1992, FMF released the Gold Series exhaust series, and in 1995 they created an FMF Gold series silencer for 4-stroke dirt bikes.

The manufacturer FMF has several lines of exhausts and silencers in its catalogue, and you can find all of them at Motoscoot.net.
